  For this weeks From Page To Screen, I have decided to cover Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets by J.K. Rowling. First let's discuss the book. Below is the cover. Now for a bit of back story in case some of you aren't familiar with the novel. Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets is a novel written by author J.K. Rowling. The book was originally released June 2, 1999 by Scholastic (June 2,1998 by Bloomsbury in the U.K.). Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets follows Harry's second year at Hogwart's School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. Upon release Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets shot to the top of many bestseller lists and was met with widespread critical acclaim. J.K.
