{ Cover Reveal!!!! } The Summer I Became A Nerd by Leah Rae Miller

Pre-Order Links Amazon ~ Barnes&Noble The Summer I Became A Nerd Expected Release May 7,2013 On the outside, seventeen-year-old Madelyne Summers looks like your typical blond cheerleader—perky, popular, and dating the star quarterback. But inside, Maddie spends more time agonizing over what will happen in the next issue of her favorite comic book than planning pep rallies with her squad. That she’s a nerd hiding in a popular girl's body isn’t just unknown, it's anti-known. And she needs to keep it that way. Summer is the only time Maddie lets her real self out to play, but when she slips up and the adorkable guy behind the local comic shop’s counter uncovers her secret, she’s busted. Before she can shake a pom-pom, Maddie’s whisked into Logan’s world of comic conventions, live-action role-playing, and first-person-shooter video games. And she loves it. But the more she denies who she really is, the deeper her lies become…and the more she risks losing Logan forever. B

Interview with Author Iain Rob Wright

Image
Published author, Iain Rob Wright, was born in 1984 and lives in Redditch, a small town in the West Midlands, UK, with his loopy cocker spaniel, Oscar, his fat old cat, Jess, his many tropical fish, and the love of his life, Sally. Writing is the passion that fills his life during the small periods of time when he isn’t cleaning up after his pets. He is the author of several novels, including the critically acclaimed, The Final Winter, and the deeply disturbing thriller, ASBO. Recently I had the pleasure of interviewing Iain for the blog. I have been a huge fan of his since I read The Final Winter last year and was beyond excited when he agreed to be interviewed by me. Interview First off, Thank you so much for taking time out of your day to answer questions. 1. For those readers who might not know your work, Can you tell them a bit about the books you write? Oh and for fun do it in five sentences or less. I write horror. It's nerdy, fun horror (like a Joss Whedon mo

BTT Asks: Do you feel sad that so many people seem content to go through their lives without stretching their mental wings at all? Can you imagine NOT being a Reader? How does it shape your life? Your perception of it? How does being a Reader affect your relationship with all those folks who are looking at it from the other side and simply can’t understand how you can sit and READ all the time? This was an excellent series of questions this week that really made me think before answering. Yes, I do feel sad that some people don't read. I've always been a passionate reader from the time I was very young. My mother would take me to the library several times a week and as I grew I could always be found curled up with a book somewhere. Many times I'd hear people say they didn't understand how I could read all day. In all honesty I'd be lost in a sense without reading in my life and it makes me sad to this day thinking people are missing out on that experience

Mash-Up Monday (1)

Image
For awhile I've been wanting to create another Monday meme to rotate in with my Book To Movie Monday and it finally dawned on me *while coincidentally watching Breaking Dawn* Mash-Up Monday. So what is Mash-Up Monday you ask?? Well Mash-Up Monday is when you take two books that really have nothing in common and Mash them up to create an entirely different book. Sounds simple enough right? Anyway since it was while watching Breaking Dawn that I came up with the idea I've decided my very first one will be about Twilight of course!! Demon in my view is one of my favorite vampire books and the very first time I read Twilight I really honestly thought it might of been Fan fiction since the books were close in content. Of course on the other hand Twilight does remind me of Wuthering Heights. Repressed adolescent sexuality, tribal competition and questions of loyalty vs love were all major themes in Wuthering Heights and those themes can easily be applied to that of Twilight as we
