Books That Deserve Sequels
This mornings Booking Through Thursday had me contemplating what other books deserved sequels. I don't know about you but I get so sad when I finish a book I loved and learn that the Author has decided it won't have a sequel. I realize not everyone loves sequels but I do....if the story allows for it. Some books would of been better had they remained a standalone no doubt about that. I definitely think Sequels are a trend at the moment as every book seems to leave that open ending in the hopes it's the next Twilight,Hunger Games or Harry Potter.
That being said I wanted to share the Books that came to mind this morning when I was trying to decide.
The Hobbit by J.R.R. Tolkien
Cellby Stephen King
The Replacementby Brenna Yovanoff
The Giverby Lois Lowry
Demon in My Viewby Amelia Atwater-Rhodes
Oryx and Crakeby Margaret Atwood
I realize some of these books do blend into others but none have direct sequels and I think they should. Do you have any you think should be on this list? Leave me a comment below so I can see.
