Waiting On Wednesday (33)

Waiting On Wednesday is a weekly blog post hosted by Breaking The Spine. For this week's Waiting On Wednesday I chose *drumroll* The Farm by Emily Mckay
Publisher: Berkley Trade
Goodreads Page:The Farm by Emily McKay
And when trust is a thing of the past, escape is nearly impossible.
Lily and her twin sister Mel have a plan. Though Mel can barely communicate, her autism helps her notice things no one else notices—like the portion of electrical fence that gets turned off every night. Getting across won’t be easy, but as Lily gathers what they need to escape, a familiar face appears out of nowhere, offering to help…
Carter was a schoolmate of Lily’s in the Before. Managing to evade capture until now, he has valuable knowledge of the outside world. But like everyone on the Farm, Carter has his own agenda, and he knows that behind the Ticks is an even more dangerous threat to the human race...
Why Am I Waiting
This book sounds fabulous!! It definitely seems very Immortal Rules-ish mixed with a bit of The Hunt. I just really cannot wait to read this book. Only a month to go!!
That wraps up my Waiting on Wednesday, leave me the link to yours so I can check it out as well! Have you heard of this book before? What do you think of the cover? Let me Know In The Comments Below! I love reading your responses.
Dude, The Farm looks awesome. I discovered it on a WoW a few weeks ago and immediately added it to my TBR. For some reason, I was thinking it was zombies, but now that I've read the summary again, I definitely agree that it's got a similar premise to The Immortal Rules and I'm all aboard for some vamps. :P Great pick!
ReplyDeleteMe to!! I really cannot wait to read this one.
DeleteThis sounds so scary! You know any post-apocalypse story with the word "farm" in it means bad things ahead:) Great choice.
ReplyDeleteYou can visit my WOW here.
Hahaha yes bad for the characters but oh so good for us to read.
DeleteThe Farm sounds really interesting. It makes total sense to quarantine them into holding pens/farms for their blood. Great concept!
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by Book Sojourner!
