This Week BTT Asks:
What’s the silliest (most foolish?) book you’ve ever read? Did you enjoy it?

Oh this one is super simple to answer. Last year I read a book called Ninja Versus Pirate Featuring Zombies.
The book was intended to be funny and lighthearted. A spoof of sorts of all the traditional Horror cliches but unfortunately this book didn't just  fail to impress it fell flat on its ass.

When I initially agreed to review Ninja Versus Pirate Featuring Zombies I was expecting a Scary Movie style book (Scary Movie is a series of films that spoof horror films) funny of course but still able to hit all the right notes when it came to the genres it was covering. The lead character was *wait for it* named Guy Boy Man. Not charlie or Dean or any other slew of male names but Guy Boy Man. I figured at some point we'd learn his real name but nope. Every character is only referenced by nicknames. Also what made this book horrible to sit through was the fact the first chapter pretty much is written as one long run on sentence, intentionally mind you.

Anyway out of every book I've ever read this book stands out as being the most foolish piece of literature  ever written that I've read. It's amazing to me that some publisher can think crap a book like that deserves a sequel. If you're curious, here is my review of Ninja Versus Pirate Featuring Zombies.

  3. Although the title sounds much like it could be a brother to the Scary Movies, I'm sorry to hear it disappointed you so. =( BUT! we just can't enjoy every book, and as long as they don't make this into a movie, the world is still safe, I guess. ;) Thanks for stepping by and sharing!
