Waiting On Wednesday (80) Banished by Liz de Jager
Waiting On Wednesday is a weekly blog post hosted by Breaking The Spine.
For this weeks Waiting On Wednesday I chose: Banished by Liz de Jager
Expected Publication:
Kit is proud to be a Blackhart, now she’s encountered her unorthodox cousins and their strange lives. And her home-schooling now includes spells, fighting enemy fae and using ancient weapons. But it’s not until she rescues a rather handsome fae prince, fighting for his life on the edge of Blackhart Manor, that her training really kicks in. With her family away on various missions, Kit must protect Prince Thorn, rely on new friends and use her own unfamiliar magic to stay ahead of Thorn’s enemies. As things go from bad to apocalyptic, fae battle fae in a war that threatens to spill into the human world. Then Kit pits herself against the Elder Gods themselves – it’s that or lose everyone she’s learnt to love.

Why Am I Waiting?
I don't read all that many books about the fae but Banished sounds like it's going to be awesome so I knew this would be one I'd have to read. Plus I'm a total sucker for pretty covers and Banished has one of the best that I've seen in recent memory. Also it has an Apocalyptic element which I love as well.

Since I'm curious, Have you heard of this book before?
If so, Do you plan on reading Banished?
If you could live in any Fae world which would it be?

Great pick, it's my Waiting On Wednesday choice today too! I follow Liz on Twitter and used to read her blog so have been waiting for this for what feels like a long time! Throw in a plot about the Fae and that gorgeous cover and I'm sold, can't wait to read it :)
ReplyDeleteI remember seeing this cover for this first time and well what's there not to like. I also like the whole idea and I hope that the realization was as good. Great pick :)
ReplyDeleteThe cover is like a cross between Deception.Shatter Me and that one about the library whose name I can't think of atm. I simply love it.

ReplyDeleteI haven't heard of this book yet, but it definitely sounds interesting! I may have to get a copy shipped to me, just because I'm crazy like that when I find a book that doesn't have a release date in the US. Great pick!
