I think I've mentioned this before but I really detest the book Alive by Piers Paul. When I was in Junior/ High school we were assigned the book so much that I terally had the entire book memorized. By Sophmore year when yet again one of the teachers decided we'd read this book I had enough. I begged, moaned and complained to my parents until one of the went to the school and asked if I could read an alternative book for the lesson that year. They agreed much to the annoyance of my teachers and since then I've never looked at the book again and you know I'm good with that.
As for any Authors I hate, hmm, no, but Charlaine Harris came pretty close after I read the garbage which was the final Sookie Stackhouse novel. All those years invested in those novels and then she pulls that garbage out of her nether regions, I don't know if I'll ever be able to rwad another book by her because of that.
This Week BTT Asks: Any books or authors you hate? Why? Is it the writing? The stories? The author’s personality? And—would you read their work anyway?? |

I'm not familiar with Piers Paul. I won't read anything by Nicholas Sparks or Jodi Picoult. Too predictable and overrated.
ReplyDelete2 Kids and Tired Books BTT
Ha! I never even made it to the final book. I got to book 11 and I almost didn't even finish it. Then I just gave up on the series. it seemed like the author didn't even care about writing anymore. Gah.
ReplyDeleteKristin @ Book Sniffers Anonymous
You hit the nail on the head Kristin.
ReplyDeleteI gave up on Sookie around book #8. It was a hot mess lol
ReplyDeleteI don't know that I hate any author. I always try to give a few different books a try and I usually find something I like even if they don't become an auto-buy author.
But there are also authors that I learn not to trust (like Miss Harris) with series anymore. Once burned….
