I was provided a copy of this book to review through Netgalley. All opinions included in this review are my own and I was not compensated in any way for providing them. Review: I admit I am a late fan to this series. I had a hard time reading Dearly,Departed and it took me months to do so but eventually I did and ended up liking it. Still I was a bit wary when I saw the announcement for Dearly,Beloved. Would it be hard to get through? Should I even bother? After hearing some awesome things from other bloggers I decided to bite the bullet and request a copy. Let me tell you that I am so glad that I did. The Characters- Michael, Bram, and Renfield by far were my favorites in this book. They all brought there A-game and just were so fun to read about. On the opposite side I still felt this disconnect with Nora. She to me is almost overbearing in her need to protect her friends. I just wish I enjoyed her more as it's hard not exactly liking the lead character. The Plot- Action, adventure, mystery, romance in a dystopian setting Yes,Please!! I really enjoyed the story between the characters and the complexity of it was just brilliant writing in my opinion. I did find a small lull in pacing sometimes but I easily overlooked it due to the amazing scenes before and after it. The Ending- If the Author decided not to make another in the series I think this ending would completely stand on its own. Of course after actually enjoying this one I really hope that there is another. As for what happens, sorry your just going to have to read and find out for yourself. I will say though that it was a nice end. Final Thoughts The book was a bit confusing at times with so many differing Points of View but it made up for it with incredible storylines for each character. I did still feel a disconnect with Nora but she was way more enjoyable in this book than the first so that is at least something. Overall I really hope that the Author decides to make a 3rd and final to this series. I think that there is certainly story left to tell. If you like unique plot lines, tons of action and the perfect blend of romance than pick this book up. I will be giving Dearly,Beloved by Lia Habel ★★★★. |

Great review! I've wanted to pick this book up for a while now but I've seen many negative reviews. I guess I'll just go with my gut and give it a shot!
