For this weeks From Page To Screen I have decided to cover Twilight: Eclipse by Stephenie Meyer. First let's discuss the book. Here's a bit of back story in case some of you aren't familiar with the novel. Twilight: Eclipse is a novel written by Author Stephenie Meyer. The book was originally published August 7, 2007 by Little,Brown. Twilight: Eclipse is the 3rd book in the Twilight Saga and follows Bella during her Senior Year. Twilight: Eclipse released to widespread critical acclaim and many critics agreed that this was due to Eclipse taking a more adult approach to the characters relationships. Twilight: Eclipse had a print run of a million copies and sold over 150,000 units on its release day. However, it did not stay at #1 long due to Harry Potter and The Deathly Hallows pushing it off the top spot. Let's take a look at some of the characters now, shall we. Bella Swan - A teenage girl who lives in Forks. She is deeply in love with Edward Cullen who j...

For this weeks From Page To Screen, I have decided to cover The Host by Stephenie Meyer. First let's discuss the book. Below is the cover. Now for a bit of back story in case some of you aren't familiar with the novel. The Host is a novel written by the Author Stephenie Meyer. She had made it halfway through her trip creating stories to entertain herself when she realized she had the outline for her next book. Stephenie Meyer had originally planned to make The Host into a trilogy with the first book being called The Soul and the second The Seeker but has stated that since  The Host universe is a "dangerous place" where characters might die she is not sure she likes the idea of having to kill...

Mash-Up Monday (1)

Image
For awhile I've been wanting to create another Monday meme to rotate in with my Book To Movie Monday and it finally dawned on me *while coincidentally watching Breaking Dawn* Mash-Up Monday. So what is Mash-Up Monday you ask?? Well Mash-Up Monday is when you take two books that really have nothing in common and Mash them up to create an entirely different book. Sounds simple enough right? Anyway since it was while watching Breaking Dawn that I came up with the idea I've decided my very first one will be about Twilight of course!! Demon in my view is one of my favorite vampire books and the very first time I read Twilight I really honestly thought it might of been Fan fiction since the books were close in content. Of course on the other hand Twilight does remind me of Wuthering Heights. Repressed adolescent sexuality, tribal competition and questions of loyalty vs love were all major themes in Wuthering Heights and those themes can easily be applied to that of Twilight as we...
