Waiting On Wednesday (113) The Deep by Nick Cutter

Image
Waiting On Wednesday is a weekly blog post hosted by  Breaking The Spine  where readers showcase which books they are highly anticipating. This week I'm turning my spotlight on The Deep by Nick Cutter. Pre-Order: Amazon Expected Publication: January 13, 2015 from Gallery Books A strange plague called the ’Gets is decimating humanity on a global scale. It causes people to forget—small things at first, like where they left their keys…then the not-so-small things like how to drive, or the letters of the alphabet. Then their bodies forget how to function involuntarily…and there is no cure. But now, far below the surface of the Pacific Ocean, deep in the Marianas Trench, an heretofore unknown substance hailed as “ambrosia” has been discovered—a universal healer, from initial reports. It may just be the key to a universal cure. In order to study this phenomenon, a special research lab, the Trieste, has been built eight miles under the sea’s surface. But now the stat...

Book Trailer Tuesday (100) Love Letters to the Dead by Ava Dellaira & In the Afterlight by Alexandra Bracken

Image
Book Trailer Tuesday is a Weekly Blog Post hosted by me at Blood Sweat and Books. Each week I choose two Book Trailers to showcase. One Trailer will be for an upcoming book and the other will be one that has already been released. This week I focus my spotlight on Love Letters to the Dead by  Ava Dellaira & In the Afterlight by Alexandra Bracken . Available Now: Love Letters to the Dead by Ava Dellaira Laurel chooses Kurt Cobain because her sister, May, loved him. And he died young, just like May. She writes about starting high school, navigating the choppy waters of new friendships, learning to live with her splintering family, falling in love for the first time, and, most important, trying to grieve for May. But how do you mourn for someone you haven't forgiven? It's ...

That's OK! I've got you covered. He Might Be a Zombie If..... 1.)He has a severely limited vocabulary. OK, I get it, you've grown accustomed to seeing the hot guy on TV who barely speaks get the girl time and time again and so you think to yourself "Hey maybe this is my time to snag a great guy like that!" Sorry, honey, I hate to break it to you but those grunts and moans aren't just his way of being so tuned into you that nothing else matters and in fact could mean that your boyfriend has turned into a Zombie.  2.)He starts to smell worse than usual. Yes, we all know guys have a distinct scent about them but has your man started to smell like rotten garbage on a warm su...
