Review Prophecy of the Most Beautiful follows the story of Chloe Clever whose life is far from perfect. For years Chloe has heard voices in her head and been chased by a skulking figure in her dreams whose sole intention is to make her dead in the most painful way possible. Yup, for Chloe things just couldn't get any worse. Until the day she learns the figure skulking her is real and those voices in her head aren't figments of her imagination after all. Now Chloe must decide whether to be ruled by fate or learn to accept that she has the power to change things after all. Only she can decide and time is running out. When I was given the opportunity to read Prophecy of the Most Beautiful I jumped at the chance. I love stories about Mythology and I don't think I can recall ever reading one about the Oracle Of Delphi. When I started this book I was really drawn in by the character of Chloe. She had my sympathy and while I knew who she'd turn out being it didn't make watching her existence before that happened any easier.  Chloe accepted that she wasn't crazy but didn't quite know how to explain away her abilities either. She was stuck and so were we. However, once all is revealed I found that the character I liked changed. This time not for the better. Chloe went from someone I could root for to someone very reminiscent of one I hated in another mythological based series. Since this book is supposedly a mix of that series and another one I guess I shouldn't be surprised. Now while I did see great potential from this series I simply could not get over the god awful names given to the characters. We have Chloe Clever, Dr. Life, Strafford Law, Mystic Maven and those are some of the better ones. Honestly, I almost declared this a DNF based on the eye roll inducing names alone. I'm all for Gods,Goddesses and Demi-gods having less formal names they prefer to go by but these just sounded like they should only exist in a dime store romance novel found in a truck stop book rack. I just think they cheapen the series as a whole. If I can't take the characters seriously, why would I take the Author who wrote them seriously as well? So I know you're probably wondering what I did like about this book. Well for one thing I loved that we get to see Demi-Gods in a different light. We learn that their is a hierarchy among the sons and daughters of the Gods and that not every Demi-God is created equal. I also really liked that the Author decided to show us so much of the Gods realm. Usually in stories were stuck on Olympus or Earth but the Author created much more than that and as a fan of mythology I really appreciated it. Lastly, regardless of my feelings for Chloe I liked that the story was told from the POV of the Oracle. I learned a lot about the Fates and how they operate. I also think it was a nice change of pace to see the Oracle as a person and not just this vessel to be used however the Gods see fit. Overall, Prophecy of the Most Beautiful was a good read and shows promise. I finished Prophecy of the Most Beautiful relatively quickly despite my annoyances and will probably continue with the series out of sheer curiosity. Would I recommend it however? Yes, like I said the series shows promise. If you like books like Percy Jackson and The Goddess Test than I suggest checking out this series as well. With that being said, I will be rating Prophecy of the Most Beautiful by Diantha Jones ★★★.

Diantha Jones was born the day thousands of turkeys sacrificed their lives to fill millions of American bellies on November 22 which also happened to be Thanksgiving Day (Her mother says she owes her a turkey).
