First let's discuss the book. Here is a bit of back story in case some of you aren't familiar with the novel. Percy Jackson & The Sea of Monsters is a novel written by Author Rick Riordan. The book was originally published in April 2006 by Hyperion books and is the second novel in the series. Percy Jackson - 13-year-old demigod son of Poseidon. Percy is a brave, spirited natural leader, and is willing to risk his life to save friends, family, strangers, and sometimes even enemies. Percy is somewhat short-tempered, and thus has trouble controlling his anger (such as when he sees bullying) and tends to do or blurt out things before thinking, no matter the consequences, causing him to get into a lot of trouble. He also feels responsible fo

Review: The Coldest Girl In Coldtown by Holly Black

Image
Author: Holly Black Genre: Horror, Vampires, Young Adult Publisher: Little, Brown Books For Young Readers Publication: September 3, 2013 Tana lives in a world where walled cities called Coldtowns exist. In them, quarantined monsters and humans mingle in a decadently bloody mix of predator and prey. The only problem is, once you pass through Coldtown's gates, you can never leave. One morning, after a perfectly ordinary party, Tana wakes up surrounded by corpses. The only other survivors of this massacre are her exasperatingly endearing ex-boyfriend, infected and on the edge, and a mysterious boy burdened with a terrible secret. Shaken and determined, Tana enters a race against the clock to save the three of them the only way she knows how: by going straight to the wicked, opulent heart of Coldtown itself. Review The Coldest Girl in Coldtown is a book I had been wanting to read since it released back in 2013. As things would have it, I just never seemed to find th
