Booking Through Thursday (2)

This weeks question was quite good and I really had to think which I would choose.Want to see some of my other choices? ClickHere

Which non-series book would you most like to read the sequel to?
Do you have any wishes for what might happen in it?

I read this book when it originally came out many moons ago. When thinking of which books I'd love sequels to I thought it'd be hard to come up with just one but surprisingly I had quite a nice list of choices. I went with the first that popped in my head and that was Blood and Chocolate. I really thought this book would eventually have a sequel but alas it was not to be. I know it has a movie but I've never seen it hmm maybe I should and make a Book to Movie Monday out of it. As for the second question mentioned above.....

Spoilery below

I want to know how Vivians life changed after accepting Gabriel. Does Aiden come back to look for her once his terror subsides? Does the pack move? Does she have cubs? How do her friends deal with the loss of Rafe or do they even care. So many questions with no answer.

  1. I haven't read the book or the series, but I've heard of it. Good things of course. Here's my BTT.

  2. I've seen the movie, several times because I like it so much! But the ending is just as open as in the book, so it seems, thus a sequel would be very interesting there!
Thanks for stepping by my blog!

  3. This is in response to your reply on my wordpress blog: nashvillebookworm.wordpress.com. For some reason the Google system isn't allowing my comment to post otherwise.

I think one problem that a sequel would run into is that expectations the readers have created over the years for the sequel as well as imagining how a sequel would unfold.

Reading responses to this week's questions, I'm reminded of John Green's The Fault in Our Stars. The narrator wants a sequel to her favorite book and has wondered for years what happens next. That desire is part of what drives the story (and if you haven't read it, I highly recommend it).

On a personal level, I was disappointed with the Star Wars prequels because I loved the originals so much growing up. Making up my own adventures with the action figures probably didn't help. :)

  9. I haven't read this one, but heard about it.
I like series, but in general I think there's too many sequels out there.

    1. Yes Sequels tend to be the trend at the moment, it seems every book is left open ended as a precautionary measure lol.
