From Goodreads:

It’s the end of the world. Six students have taken cover in Cortege High but shelter is little comfort when the dead outside won’t stop pounding on the doors. One bite is all it takes to kill a person and bring them back as a monstrous version of their former self. To Sloane Price, that doesn’t sound so bad. Six months ago, her world collapsed and since then, she’s failed to find a reason to keep going. Now seems like the perfect time to give up. As Sloane eagerly waits for the barricades to fall, she’s forced to witness the apocalypse through the eyes of five people who actually want to live. But as the days crawl by, the motivations for survival change in startling ways and soon the group’s fate is determined less and less by what’s happening outside and more and more by the unpredictable and violent bids for life—and death—inside. When everything is gone, what do you hold on to?

Why Am I Waiting?
First off the cover, omg how awesome is it! The first time I saw the cover I thought it was a girl standing outside with the wind whipping her hair. Upon closer inspection I realize the girl was being killed (no doubt cause she's a zombie) and there was blood splatter in the upper left hand corner. That alone was like woah awesome! I also was really intrigued by the story, six friends trapped in a HS dealing with the dead outside and cabin fever inside. It is no secret I LOVE Zombies as well as post apocalyptic stories so of course when this book came in my cross hairs I knew I had to have it. To bad June is so very far away.....but of course that is why it is my Waiting On Wednesday post in the first place.

  9. I haven't heard about this one yet. But, I can see why your waiting on it. The cover is good. I don't see how you can tell she is being killed. It does just look like the wind has her but then again I can't see it up close.

I will have to check this one out. Still to date I have not read a zombie novel altho I LOVE The Walking Dead...Go figure..
