Mash-Up Monday (7)

It's time for another Mash-Up Monday. So what is Mash-Up Monday you ask?? Well Mash-Up Monday is when you take two books that really have nothing in common and Mash them up to create an entirely different book. Sounds simple enough right? This week I'll be Mashing up Under the Dome by Stephen King & Blackout by Robison Wells.

Under The Dome is a book about a town that wakes up one day to notice they've been sealed in by a book dome covering the town. Things quickly spiral out of control as relationships are tested and supplies run out. Blackout is a book where teenagers have suddenly developed super powers. The Government gathers all affected Children up and places them in camps aka quarantine. Each book stands on it's own easily but....mash them together, taking the best bits out of both books, and you have the awesome and at times epic Gone by Michael Grant . Now I realize that many of you have probably read Gone and for those who haven't being compared to Stephen King no doubt sets the bar high but nonetheless it is a great book and one you should definitely check if you haven't already.

Now for this week's questions??

Have you read any of the books mentioned above? Which books would you mash together to create Gone? Why? Leave your answers in the comments below, I love reading your responses.
