Zurvival Saturday (102) Waiting On Zombies
This week I want to share with you a few upcoming/ newly released Zombie books that I'm excitedly looking forward to reading. As far as I know all of those not yet published are on track to release this year. All titles have been linked to Goodreads in case you'd like to check any of them out further. In no particular order, let's get to the books!
Skylight (Arcadium #2) by Sarah Gray
Released: July 10, 2014
Thought Florence and the gang got their happily ever after? Think again. Florence West and her new family have found safety in the hills, but the infection rages on around them. And when the virus takes one of her group, Florence will find out just how far she'll go to survive. Can they hold on to their sanctuary or will they have to let it go?
Why I'm Waiting: OK,OK, I still haven't read Arcadium but now that book two is out I would really liked to read these back to back. Someone on Facebook pointed out that the sequel is currently on sale for .99 cents on Amazon so you betcha both of these will be read very soon!
The Day the Dead Came to Show and Tell (Newsflesh 3.3) by Mira Grant
Released: July 14, 2014
Outside the classroom walls the Rising was spreading, but inside was a carefully protected sanctuary against the growing threat.
Or so the teachers and students thought.
On what will be the last day in the teaching career of Elaine Oldenburg, who fans of the series know as Foxy, she must fight to survive and protect her students when the zombie outbreak shatters the safety of her school.
Why I'm Waiting: I really enjoyed the Newsflesh series thus far so getting to go back into the world should be fun.
THE ENEMY IS INSIDE US.
The SymboGen designed tapeworms were created to relieve humanity of disease and sickness. But the implants in the majority of the world's population began attacking their hosts turning them into a ravenous horde.
Now those who do not appear to be afflicted are being gathered for quarantine as panic spreads, but Sal and her companions must discover how the tapeworms are taking over their hosts, what their eventual goal is, and how they can be stopped.
Why I'm Waiting: Even though I still have something like 25 % left to read of the first book as it stands I can't wait to see what a sequel will bring. Plus more Mira Grant, woot!!
Contagious by Emily Goodwin
Released: July 25, 2014
In the midst of the Second Great Depression, twenty-five year old Orissa Penwell doesn't think things can get any worse. She couldn't be more wrong. A virus breaks out across the country, leaving the infected crazed, aggressive and very hungry.
Orissa will do anything-no matter if it's right or wrong- to save the ones she loves. But when she discovers that most of the world is infected or dead, she must decided if those lives are worth saving at all.
