Unless you've been living under a rock or happen to *gasp* hate soccer you'll know that World Cup Fever is in full swing all over the Globe.  Naturally, that means it is time yet again for another Movie Recommendation Monday! This week all my recommendations will be focused on, you guessed it, Soccer or should I say Fùtbol  for all you International fans out there!! The films range from the serious to the silly but all are sure to please any fan of the game. Shaolin Soccer is a 2001 Sports Comedy starring Stephen Chow and Vicki Zhao. Shaolin Soccer is about a Shaolin Kung Fu Master (Chow) whose goal in life is to promote the art of Kung Fu. The 2014 Winter Olympics in Sochi are in full swing so naturally that means it is time for another Movie Recommendation Monday! This week all my recommendations will be based on movies taking place around or during the Winter Olympics. These movies range from the silly to the serious but all of them embody the Olympic spirit and what it means to be an Olympian representing your Country in the games.  Cool Runnings is a 1993 sports movie which stars most notably John Candy as disgraced bobsledder turned coach Irv Blitzer. When top Jamaican athlete Derice Bannock fails to qualify for the Summer Olympics he enlists the help of Irv Blitzer as well as several other top Jamaican Athletes to create Jamaica's very first Bobsled team. Super Bowl Sunday is right around the corner *woot,woot*.  To help get you in the mood for tailgating,touchdowns and halftime shows I've compiled a list of movies with a Football theme for your viewing pleasure. Gridiron Gang is a 2006 movie starring Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson as Sean Porter a disgruntled prison guard who wants to help the teenage inmates he's been tasked to watch over. He creates a Football team called The Mustangs and successfully takes them to the State Championships. Yesterday I took a break from reading and decided to spend some time watching Zombie movies on Netflix instead. I started my afternoon of Zombie watching goodness by viewing a movie called A little Bit Zombie . This title was one I hadn't heard of before so I figured why not give it a shot. A Little Bit Zombie is on the cheesy side of the Zombie movie spectrum but the film did have a distinct Army of Darkness feel to it which didn't go unnoticed. Basically the main character Steve is infected with a Zombie virus via mosquito bites he receives at the beginning of the film. He remains mostly himself (for awhile anyway) but does develop a strong craving for what else but brains. Sadly, poor Steve finds himself in need of sufficient nourishment and animal brains simply won't do. This week I'll be reviewing the film Cockneys vs. Zombies. I've wanted to see this movie for such a long time and finally this past week I had the chance to, yay!!
